Table games at Vidal and what bonus terms say about them
Roulette, blackjack and baccarat are the classics of any casino lobby, available both as RNG games and at live tables. As games, they are easy to learn and have relatively low house edges. As tools for completing a bonus, they are usually the weakest option, because promotions weight them at a reduced rate and restrict several of the betting patterns that make them attractive. This page explains how each classic game is typically treated so you can decide where your bonus money belongs at Vidal.
Roulette
European roulette has a single zero and a house edge of about 2.7%; American roulette adds a double zero and raises it to about 5.3%. These are properties of the games themselves. Under bonus terms, roulette is commonly weighted low, and the clause that matters most bans covering large parts of the table in one spin — red and black together, or most of the numbers at once. Those bets turn over money at little risk, which is exactly what the clause is designed to prevent.
Blackjack
Played with correct strategy, blackjack has one of the lowest house edges in the casino, which is why it is so often weighted at a small percentage or excluded from wagering. Some terms also restrict side bets, or count doubling and splitting in specific ways. If you enjoy blackjack, read the contribution line first: at a 5% rate a stake of 20 adds just 1 to your progress (illustrative example, not a Vidal condition).
Baccarat
Baccarat's banker and player bets are close to even propositions, with a small house edge. Betting both on the same hand is a textbook example of a prohibited pattern under bonus terms. Tie and side bets carry a higher edge but are sometimes excluded from wagering anyway.
Table limits and the maximum bet
Every table has its own minimum and maximum stakes. A bonus adds a second ceiling: the maximum bet allowed while the bonus is active. If a table's minimum is close to that cap, there is little room to play without breaching it, especially in games where you may double or split. Check both numbers before you sit down.
A worked comparison
| Game type | Example contribution | Stakes needed for 1,000 of wagering |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | 100% | 1,000 |
| Roulette | 20% | 5,000 |
| Blackjack | 10% | 10,000 |
| Baccarat | 5% | 20,000 |
Illustrative example, not a Vidal condition. The promotion's own contribution table applies.
